JAKARTA, Aug. 22 (Xinhua) -- The Indonesian government has prioritized meeting domestic gas demand following a recent supply disruption caused by a pipeline fire, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia said here on Friday.
The minister said that part of gas previously allocated for overseas shipments has been redirected to the domestic market to address the temporary shortage.
The disruption had earlier triggered complaints from industries, which reported reduced productivity due to limited gas supply.
According to the minister, the situation has now been brought under control, and domestic supply has returned to normal levels. ■
